December 7 & 8, 1995
San Francisco, California |
| Using a combination of traditional and new media, PMN has provided the
rapidly expanding industry with a universal source of news, product
reviews, comment, analysis, interviews, technology features and
collaboration tools. Centred around an internet based resource called PMN
On-line, the network supports users and commercial operators of all leading
hand held computing systems, including Psion EPOC, 3Com PalmPilot and
Microsoft Windows CE. |
|
The Utility Industry Hand-Held and PDA Forum is a strategic meeting
of the minds organized to focus on the problems that Utility Industry
customers want solved and to bring together all parts of the Hand-
Held and Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) industry to address mutual
needs realted to the Utility Industry. The Forum will feature
discussions led by major utility corporate users and suppliers of this
technology. |
| This EXPO will cover smart communication technology and Internet /
Intranet technology from the perspective of customer needs and the
impact on the existing hand-held and PDA hardware and software
vendor community. We will also discuss field automation and mobile
issues associated with functional and vertical markets. We have
expanded vendor exhibit areas (multiple 8X10 booths and 3X6
tables) either in a 6K sq. ft. ballroom or a 12K sq. ft. tent on-site.
The
exhibits and demo rooms (we have added 20 ) will be open the
entire three days and will be available to corporate attendees at no
or low cost. We have decreased the price of our regular Forum
sessions and included free staff badges for exhibitors for the Exhibit
area. |
| The Forum played a distinct role in accelerating the development of
several work process redesigns using Hand-helds and PDAs. John Rawley,
